Katie Lentz, LCSW-C, serves in Utilization Review and Risk Management at ClearView Communities. She specializes in admissions coordination, utilization review, clinical risk assessment, and behavioral health care coordination, helping ensure individuals receive appropriate levels of care within residential mental health treatment and psychiatric rehabilitation settings.
Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa in 2012 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2015. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical in Maryland and a board-approved clinical supervisor for social workers pursuing licensure.
Prior to joining ClearView Communities, Katie worked across outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric hospital care, and residential treatment programs for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. She spent five years as a social worker on the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Frederick Health Hospital, where she developed a strong clinical focus on serious mental illness, crisis stabilization, and continuity of care. In this role, she frequently collaborated with ClearView Communities to support smooth transitions into residential treatment.
At ClearView Communities, Katie applies her expertise in utilization review, admissions evaluation, and behavioral health systems coordination to support appropriate placement, level-of-care decisions, and ongoing treatment authorization for residents. Her work helps ensure continuity of care and access to effective residential treatment for young adults with complex psychiatric needs.
